Today, Franck Agulhon spend most of his time teaching at the Music Academy International de Nancy, France where – for many years – he has developed an original approach to drumming mixing pedagogy and art and illustrated in his “Solisticks” project. This is a series of solo pieces with a holistic methodology to the drum set. Each piece deals with a time period, a type of approach, a music style, a rhythm, a melody in which improvisation is imperative.
Franck Agulhon also teaches numerous clinics and masterclasses and is, since 2001, a regular lecturer at the Centre des Musiques Didier Lockwood.
With years of teaching, performances and musical discoveries around the world, Franck Agulhon is now sharing his knowledge through the 300-page recreational method – The Franck Agulhon Drumbook, transcribed by Didier Ottaviani.
